Description:

 

       The proposed plant employs a process in which air is purified by molecular sieve and refrigeration with drag flow expansion. The feed air goes through filter, and then goes into air compressor to be compressed to a rated pressure. The compressed air goes through the pre-cooling unit to be cooled to saturation state. The pre-cooled air goes into molecular sieve adsorber where the hydrocarbons like moisture, CO2, C2H2 are adsorbed by molecular sieve. The air out of adsorber goes into main heat exchanger to reduce temperature gradually, a stream of which is withdrawn from the middle to expander for refrigerating, and another saturation temperature stream with expanded air go into bottom of nitrogen column for rectification. The air is rectified continuously in the nitrogen column with the increasing of nitrogen content, and then the nitrogen reaching product purity is obtained at the top. Withdraw the product nitrogen to heat exchanger for rewarming, and then it is sent to the user. Part of the nitrogen at the top goes into condenser evaporator to be liquefied, and part of the liquefied liquid nitrogen is sent to the user, and another part of liquid nitrogen goes back to the nitrogen column as refluxed liquid to follow the rectification, and obtain oxygen enriched liquid air at the bottom of rectification column. The oxygen enriched liquid air throttled flows into condenser evaporator to be evaporated to oxygen enriched air, which is withdrawn from the top to main heat exchanger to be rewarmed, and then it is discharged out of cold box. Part of the discharged gas goes into electric heater, and then goes into another molecular sieve as the regeneration gas, and the rest will be vented to the atmosphere.
