AWWAC214 standard tape coatings for exterior of steel water
pipelines
Product System description:
The Specification defines the requirements and tests for Tape and
Primer used for Coating over the ditch and repair coating of buried
steel line pipes using cold applied Polyethylene tape. All tapes
shall be designed and manufactured for a continuous working
temperature of up to 50o C.
Tape Inner Wrap:PE backing colour shall be black.
Tape ouetr Wrap:PE backing colour shall be white
Primer:The primer must provide an acceptable base for butyl adhesive on the tapes.
