The roller is an important part of the belt conveyor. There are many types and large quantities. The function is to support the belt, reduce the running resistance of the belt, and make the verticality of the belt not exceed a certain limit to ensure the smooth running of the belt.

 

idlers are classified into self-aligning idlers, buffer idlers, trough idlers, and parallel idlers according to their uses. The function of the self-aligning roller is to correct the deviation of the belt conveyor. Usually, a rotary groove-shaped self-aligning roller is installed on the heavy-duty section of the conveyor, and a parallel self-aligning roller is installed on the no-load section. The buffer roller is applied to the tailstock of the machine according to the actual situation. When receiving the material, it can reduce the impact of the material on the belt, which is beneficial to the service life of the long belt. The trough-shaped roller is generally composed of two side rollers and a flat roller. The groove angle is generally 30 degrees. For a detachable belt conveyor, the three rollers of the trough-shaped roller are hinged to each other, so Called hinged roller. The parallel roller is generally a long roller, which is installed at the lower end under pressure, so it is called the lower roller.

The roller is an important part of the conveyor. It has a large number, large force and long pressure-bearing time. It needs to be maintained regularly to reduce unnecessary loss and extend the service life of the roller and its supporting conveyor.


Pay attention to the following points when maintaining the roller:


1. In the normal use of the roller, the collision to the roller should be minimized, and it should not be disassembled and assembled at will.
2. For the replacement of labyrinth seals, the original factory-designated accessories should be used, and they should be classified and loaded according to requirements. They should not be used chaotically to avoid the failure of normal operation after assembly of different specifications.
3. When replacing the bearing, the opening of the bearing cage should be facing outwards, and a certain gap should be left after the bearing is installed into the roller, so that it cannot be crushed.
4. When resting, the idler can be removed to avoid deformation caused by extended time of bearing pressure, which will affect the use effect.
5. After the work is over, clean the roller with a special cleaning agent, and place the washed roller in a cool and ventilated place, and continue to use it after air-drying.
