Gas cutting is a technique with a long tradition that is constantly being improved and developed. Oxygen cutting is one of the most popular methods for machining steel, most commonly low alloy and mild steel. It is also used to cut metal sheets that are corroded or in packaging. The gas cutting process is used where it is necessary to cut steel of considerable thickness, maintaining accurate results and high efficiency

 

 

Oxygen cutting - technical features

 

 

This type of cutting process involves heating the surface of the machined material to ignition temperature. The next step is to supply oxygen under high pressure. For correct cutting results, the cleanliness of the cut should be at least 99.5%
