1. Titanium and alloy: Pure titanium can well couple the heat
energy converted by focused laser beam. When oxygen is used as
auxiliary gas, the chemical reaction is fierce, and the cutting
speed is fast, but it is easy to form an oxide layer at the cutting
edge, which may cause excessive burning if not careful. For the
sake of safety, it is better to use air as auxiliary gas to ensure
cutting quality. The laser cutting quality of titanium alloy
commonly used in aircraft manufacturing industry is good. Although
there is a little sticky slag at the bottom of the cutting seam, it
is easy to remove it.
2. Nickel alloy: Nickel-based alloy, also called alloy, has many
varieties. Most of them can be cut by oxidation melting.
3. Carbon steel: The modern laser cutting machine can cut the
thickness of carbon steel plate up to 20 mm. The cutting seam of
carbon steel by oxidation melting cutting mechanism can be
controlled in a satisfactory width range, and the cutting seam of
thin plate can be as narrow as about 0.1 mm.
4. Stainless steel: Laser cutting is an effective processing tool
for the manufacturing industry using stainless steel sheet as the
main component. By strictly controlling the heat input in the laser
cutting process, the heat affected zone of trimming can be limited
to become very small, thus effectively maintaining the good
corrosion resistance of this kind of material.
