7.2.2.2 Test cone
The appliance is put into normal operation with the reference gas
under Pn at the nominal heat input.The test cone illustrated in
figure 1 is applied against the grid openings with a force of 5N.
The appliance is allowed to cool to ambient temperature and then
positioned so that the plane of the central section of the grid is
horizontal.
A load consisting of a flat of diameter 100mm and mass 5KG is
placed on the grid,half-way between the securing points.Leave the
load in place for 1 min then remove the load.The appliance is
restarted to normal operation with the reference gas at Pn and
reapply the test cone to the grid openings.
