The AB 1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5 Drive contains assemblies and parts that
are sensitive to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Hence, static
control precautions are needed when testing, servicing, installing,
and repairing the assembly. If control procedures are not followed,
it is more likely to result in component damage. Additionally, an
incorrectly installed or applied drive for the 1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5
is more likely to result in a reduction in product life or in
component damage. Moreover, application or wiring errors such as
inadequate or incorrect AC supply, under-sizing the motor, and
excessive ambient temperatures are more likely to result in the
malfunction of the system. To avoid the hazard of electronic shock,
the voltage of the bus capacitors should be discharged before
performing any action on the drive.
The 1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5 can be used in a circuit which can deliver
up to a maximum of 200,000 RMS symmetrical Amps and 600 Volts when
it is utilized with the AC input line fuses. Additionally, the
drive is supposed to function on three supply structures whose line
voltages are balanced. There are surge suppression devices which
are added to prevent the drive from lightning and induced
overvoltages between the ground and the line. The
1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5 drives comprise the MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor)
which provides voltage surge protection and phase-to-ground and
phase-to-phase protection which is designed to meet the IEEE 587
standards.
Generally, the 1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5 is appropriate for direct linking
to an AC line of the correct voltage. The 1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5
drive's starts/stop control includes solid-state components. When
the AC power is detached, there will be a loss of inherent
regenerative braking effect and the motor is more likely to stop.
The 1336S-BRF30-AA-EN5 is supposed to be measured by input signs
which stop and start the motor. Careful attention is supposed to be
given to the ground and power connections to avoid interference of
the equipment nearby which are sensitive.
The 1336 PLUS and 1336S series of AB Adjustable AC Drives provide
the speed control capabilities for industrial environments. Each
motor has variable control through the Three-Phase Induction
features. The drives provide a Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), which
offer protection against surge and Phase-to-Phase group protection.
Most 1336S drives are suitable for direct connection to an AC line
of the correct voltage. Many of the 1663 PLUS drives feature
Control Interface Options that are engineered for the various needs
of the user. Some of these features are: Contact Closure, Contact
Closure with Encoder Feedback Inputs, and various +24V AC/DC
Interface options. Users can control and operate the drive through
an HMI display panel.
