High Purity Magnesium Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection For Metal Anticorrosion
Introduction:
Magnesium anodes are also known as soft water anodes, and they protect steel by sacrificial electrochemistry. This type of galvanic protection is called "sacrificial"; the magnesium rod (anode) corrodes rather than the can (cathode). This principle of electrolytic corrosion control is called "cathodic protection". Because the cathode surface does not rust, the tank is protected.
