High Strength 4 Meters Long Corrosion Resistance 2024 Seamless
Aluminum Tubing
2024 is a typical hard aluminum alloy in the
aluminum-copper-magnesium series. Its composition is reasonable and
the overall performance is better. Many countries produce this
alloy, which is used in duralumin. The characteristics of the alloy
are: high strength, a certain degree of heat resistance, and can be
used as working parts below 150°C. At temperatures higher than
125°C, the strength of 2024 alloy is higher than that of 7075
alloy. The forming properties in the hot state, annealing and new
quenching state are better, and the heat treatment strengthening
effect is significant, but the heat treatment process is strict.
The corrosion resistance is poor, but it can be protected by
covering it with pure aluminum; it is easy to produce cracks, but
it can also be riveted by special technology. It is widely used in
aircraft structures, rivets, truck wheels, propeller components and
various other structural parts.
