Description of iridium
As a noble metal, iridium is a member of the platinum group. The
surface is silvery white with a yellowish tint, resembling the
color of platinum. Due to its very high melting point (2447°C), it
is the most corrosion-resistant metallic element known. Because of
its good thermoelectric performance and high temperature ablation
resistance.
Iridium can be made into disk targets, column targets, stepped
wafer targets, plate targets (diameter less than 650mm, thickness
less than 1mm)
