Gradually remove the backing paper and smooth the film onto the surface, using a squeegee or a credit card to remove any air bubbles. It may also be necessary to use a squeegee or credit card to gently push out any air bubbles which have been trapped beneath the film. Trim away any excess along the edges with either a utility knife or scissors. Finally, wipe over the entire surface with a clean cloth or sponge to ensure the film is securely in place and free from any air bubbles or wrinkles.
