Product Description                        

 

The disc diffuser aerator is a kind of aerator developed in 1980s. It has the advantages of small aeration bubble, large gas-liquid area, uniform bubble diffusion, no hole blockage and corrosion resistance. ABS engineering plastic is used as the main body, and EPDM/silicone rubber is used as the diaphragm. The diaphragm opening is made by machining. The numerical control opening is used to ensure the quality and accuracy of the hole. When the aerator is aerated with oxygen, four air supply tanks are designed on the main panel, so that the incoming air can be buffered by the check valve and directly sent to the center of the aerator head, so as to ensure that the diaphragm can be opened easily at one time with low resistance. The diaphragm is mechanically assembled with rib anti lock to keep the diaphragm from falling off. When air enters, the micropores on the air distribution membrane expand by themselves to make air pass through.

 

Application                                       

EPDM membrane is suitable for biological wastewater treatment and conventional industrial wastewater treatment, and the service temperature can reach 176 ℃.

The applicable temperature of silicone menbrane is - 65 ℃ - 232 ℃, which is suitable for wastewater treatment in pulp and paper industry, petrochemical industry and oil refining process.

 

Installation                                       

 

1. Installation of air distribution pipe
The air passes through the air main pipe to the air distribution branch pipe, and finally from the microporous aerator to the water to achieve the purpose of oxygen charging.
The air guide spherical microporous aerator will be installed on the air distribution branch pipe in the tank. The arrangement of the air branch pipe in the aeration tank is determined according to the number of aerators in each tank, the shape of the aeration tank and other factors.
The vertical layout dimension of microporous aerator is about 250mm from the surface to the bottom of the tank, and the center of air distribution pipe is about 150 mm from the bottom of the tank.
A movable flange cover is set at the end of the air distribution branch pipe, so that the sundries in the pipe can be blown off by air during commissioning and maintenance. A blowdown device is also set at the end of the main gas distribution pipe. The device uses compressed air to drain the water in the pipe, which can ensure the normal operation of the aeration system for a long time and reduce the resistance and scaling possibility in the gas distribution pipe.
During installation, the horizontal adjusting support shall be fixed at the bottom of the pool with expansion bolts according to the size required by the design, and the air distribution branch pipe installed on the adjusting support can rise or fall at will within a certain range, so it can ensure the horizontal installation of the air distribution branch pipe, and it is no longer difficult to install the pipe on the uneven pool floor.

 

2. Installation of microporous aerator
Φ 6mm holes shall be set in advance on the air branch pipe according to the designed spacing, and the center of the holes shall be connected with the nozzle of the aerator, and the center error between the holes shall not be greater than ± 0.5mm. The air pipe shall be prefabricated according to the required length and transported to the installation site.
Before installing the aerator, all the sundries in the air pipe must be cleaned to make sure that the air pipe network is clean. Use air blowing or water washing to remove all debris and debris that may accumulate inside the pipe end.
Screw the microporous aerator onto the prefabricated air distribution pipe connector, taking care not to screw it too tightly.
After installation, check whether the rubber film is damaged and whether the rubber washer and connector are in good condition.
In order to ensure that the aerator will not vibrate and remain level permanently, a horizontal regulator bracket is set on the air distribution pipe, which is fixed at the bottom of the tank with M10 stainless steel expansion bolts, so as to control the horizontal error of the air distribution pipe within 5 ± 1mm, so as to adjust the horizontal regulation bracket.

 

3. Operation and maintenance
Remove all debris from the aeration tank before starting operation.
The time interval from the completion of aerator installation to trial operation and formal operation shall be as short as possible.
Painting, welding and other construction are prohibited in the aerobic tank installed with aerator but not yet in operation to avoid damage to rubber membrane of aerator.
Check the air switch and inject clean water, at least submerge the aerator 100 ~ 200mm. After a short time of air supply, close and cut off the air source. Check the air tightness of the aerator and air pipe network one by one. If there is air leakage due to poor sealing, air bubbles will appear here.
Check whether there is air leakage at the sealing places of all pipeline interfaces.
Under the condition of standard ventilation capacity of 1.8m3/h, check whether the aeration distribution is uniform, and the ventilation area of each microporous aerator is greater than 80%.
If it is not put into normal operation immediately after the completion of the test run inspection, the water level shall be raised to at least 1 m to submerge the aerator to prevent the adverse effects of ultraviolet rays and the possible extremely cold and hot weather temperature on the rubber membrane.
In the case of a long interval, considering the evaporation of water in the pool, the clear water should be supplemented in time. The aerator shall be aerated with standard air volume for at least ten minutes every day.
When the temperature is lower than 0o, the water level in the tank is about 1.5m ~ 2m to prevent the aerator from freezing.

Possible problems and solutions  

 

a.  Large bubbles appear in a certain area of aeration tank

1.  Air distribution pipe leakage

Treatment method: drain the water in the problem area, check with small amount of air blast, determine the location of leakage and repair.

2.  Rubber film of aerator is damaged

Treatment method: drain the water in the problem area, use a small amount of air to check the aerator, determine the leaking aerator, and replace the rubber diaphragm or the whole aerator.

 

b.  Uneven bubbles

1.  Insufficient air

Handling method: check whether the blower operates normally.

2.  The valve on the air pipe is closed or not fully opened:

Treatment: check whether the valve is open.

3.  The installation of aeration system in the tank is not ideal:

Treatment method: empty the water in the problem area, check whether the horizontal error of the aeration distribution pipe is within ± 6mm; check whether the air pipe and interface are scaling and blocked, if any, use air blowing and high-pressure water gun to wash.

4.  Scaling on rubber diaphragm

Treatment method: check whether there is scaling on the rubber membrane, if any, clean the rubber membrane; replace the rubber membrane or the whole aerator.

 

c.  The dissolved oxygen in water decreases abnormally, and the head loss of aeration system increases

d.  The dissolved oxygen level in the whole aeration tank is inconsistent

Treatment: check whether the blower operates normally; check whether the valve on the air pipe is in the open state.

 

Maintenance                                    

1.  The operator should check the aeration condition of the aeration system frequently. If the head resistance of the aeration system increases or the bubble shape changes, the aerator needs to clean up the precipitates such as carbonate, iron salt, aluminum salt and biological sludge. The scaling on the rubber membrane of the aerator will reduce the air output, reduce the oxygen utilization law of the aeration system, and increase the head loss.

 

2.  Regular drainage cleaning is an ideal maintenance method, and the duration depends on the nature of the treated water, treatment process and other factors.

 

3.  During drainage cleaning and maintenance, do not let the precipitates on the surface of rubber film dry and agglomerate, and clean them immediately. The drying and caking of sediment will make cleaning difficult and affect the performance of aerator.

 

4.  Biological sludge can be removed by physical methods, and the surface of rubber membrane can be cleaned by brush or washed by high-pressure water gun. When cleaning with a high-pressure water gun, the nozzle of the water gun shall be kept about 500mm away from the surface of the rubber film to prevent damage to the rubber film.

 

5.  Carbonate and other scaling should be removed by chemical method. A certain amount of formic acid will enter the aeration system with air. The proportion of formic acid added depends on the scale degree. It is not necessary to empty the water in the aeration tank during cleaning. Generally, clean once or twice a year.

 

6.  When the microporous aerator is damaged or considered to be unable to meet the performance requirements after cleaning and maintenance, the rubber diaphragm can be replaced or the whole aerator can be replaced. The replacement method is the same as the installation method.
