Description

What is the difference between dense phase and dilute phase?
The dilute phase conveying system refers to the system where powder and granular materials are dispersed by high-speed airflow after entering the pipeline through an air source, and transported in a suspended state in the pipeline. It has the characteristics of low material to gas ratio, low pressure, and high speed.
The dense phase conveying system refers to the movement of bulk materials in a fluidized or plunger like state in a sealed pipeline, characterized by high solid to gas ratio, high efficiency, stable operation, and reduced manual maintenance costs. As a widely used conveying mode, it can also be divided into dense phase dynamic pressure conveying and dense phase static pressure conveying based on the situation of dense embolism.

The difference between dilute phase transportation and dense phase transportation:
(1) Distribution state: Dilute phase transport exhibits uniform and flying states in vertical and horizontal states, while dense phase transport exhibits dense states.
(2) Material gas mixing ratio: Dilute phase transportation has a lower material gas ratio, with a powder content below 1-10kg/m ³, Low conveying capacity; On the contrary, dense phase transportation has higher economic efficiency and a higher proportion of transported materials in the gas.
(3) Transportation distance: Dilute phase transportation can be used for transportation distances between 20-400m, while dense phase transportation is relatively far away.
(4) Delivery pressure: Due to the influence of system components and pipeline pressure, the pressure of the dilute phase delivery system is relatively low, ranging from 0.02 to 0.9 MPa, while the pressure of the dense phase delivery system is relatively high.
(5) Transportation flow rate: The speed of dilute phase transportation is relatively fast, around 12-40m/s, while the speed of dense phase transportation is relatively low, between 8-15m/s.
(6) Wear degree: The flow rate of dilute phase conveying is relatively fast, which can easily cause damage to the material form, while the dense phase conveying speed is recorded at a lower speed, which has less wear on the material.
(7) Equipment cost: The dilute phase conveying process is relatively simple, without too many valves, with flexible operation and few vulnerable parts, while the dense phase conveying pressure is high, requiring a high investment cost in pressure equipment. The valve failure rate is high, and the maintenance cost is high.
(8) Conveying materials: The dilute phase conveying system is prone to blockage or breakage for materials that are large in volume, moist and difficult to flow, and fragile, while also causing significant wear and tear to the system; The dense phase conveying system is a relatively friendly choice for fragile materials, reducing wear and tear.

Powder Conveying Equipment operational principle
The PJP jet pump pneumatic conveying system consists of a PJP jet pump, a pneumatic butterfly valve, a pump top compartment, a manual spiral gate, and a compressed air supply device. The main source of compressed air is the Roots blower. Powder and granular materials enter the PJP jet pump through manual spiral gates, pump top bins, and pneumatic butterfly valves. When compressed air for transportation passes through the nozzle inside the PJP type jet pump box, the high-speed airflow generated creates a negative pressure state inside the PJP type jet pump box. The materials in the top compartment of the pump are easily mixed with the high-speed airflow.

Then, when the material gas mixture passes through the expansion pipe of the PJP type jet device, the kinetic energy of the high-speed airflow is converted into static pressure energy, thereby conveying powder and granular materials to the terminal through the conveying pipeline. The manual spiral gate of the PJP jet pump is used for debugging and maintenance, and the pneumatic butterfly valve is used for automatically closing when the transportation of powder and granular materials is suspended or the system pressure is abnormal.
