Description
Mineral insulated cable is abbreviated as MI cable, which is a kind
of inorganic material cable. The outer layer of the cable is a
seamless copper sheath, and between the sheath and the metal core
is a tightly compacted magnesium oxide insulating layer. According
to different purposes, it can be divided into: wiring cables,
heating cables and heating elements, thermocouple cables and
compensation cables, and special cables. The most commonly used in
practical applications is wiring cables.
The whole machine consists of four parts: ultrasonic generator,
ultrasonic vibration system, wire stripping mechanism and frame.
The ultrasonic generator (that is, the driving power supply) is
composed of a rectifier circuit, an oscillation circuit, a feedback
circuit, a tracking circuit, a control circuit, a power amplifier

The horn amplifies the amplitude according to the design needs, and

vibration system. The horn transmits the ultrasonic vibration to
the tool head, which drives the tool head to impact the cable.
Mineral insulated cables are under the high-speed and high-strength
effect of ultrasonic waves, and the insulating mineral powder in
the cable sheath (metal sleeve) is shaken, dispersed, and
discharged. It should be particularly emphasized here that the
effect of ultrasound has a wonderful characteristic, and its force
must be seamlessly transmitted through solids. At the beginning of
wire stripping, the cable sheath, mineral insulating powder and
core wire are integrated, and the ultrasonic force can be
transmitted inside the entire cable. Under the action of ultrasonic
vibration, the mineral insulating powder is shaken loose,
shattered, and discharged naturally. At this time, the cable core
wire and the cable sheath are separated, and at the same time, the
ultrasonic force is naturally isolated. In other words, when we
need to protect the core wire of the cable, the ultrasonic wave has
automatically stopped the force on the core wire. Therefore, the
use of ultrasonic to strip the mineral insulated cable can not only
discharge the mineral insulating powder exactly, but also will not
cause any damage to the cable core.
The stripping mechanism is composed of a telescopic tool head, an
air cylinder, a control solenoid valve, and a pressure regulating
valve. The telescopic tool head presses the cable tightly on the
ultrasonic tool head under the push of the air cylinder, thereby
transmitting the ultrasonic force from the tool head to the cable
to complete the peeling work.
