Application Of The Automobile Air Conditioner Evaporator Temperature Sensor

 

The function of the evaporator temperature sensor is to sense the temperature of the evaporator and adjust the working time of the air conditioner. When the evaporator temperature sensor is damaged or fails, the temperature of the refrigeration system will not be controlled normally. Working principle: The working principle of the evaporator temperature sensor is that after turning on the air conditioner, the evaporator continuously cools, and when the temperature reaches the set temperature, it sends a signal and the compressor stops working. If it always sends a signal to the compressor, the compressor will continue to work. When the temperature reaches the set requirement, the compressor circuit is disconnected, the compressor stops working, and the compressor circuit is switched on when the temperature is higher than a certain value.

Air conditioner evaporator outlet temperature sensorThe function of the evaporator temperature sensor is to sense the temperature of the evaporator and adjust the working time of the air conditioner.
Thermal ferrite temperature sensorControl the operation of the cooling fan of the radiator according to the temperature signal of the coolant, and install it on the circulation channel of the radiator coolant (the installation position is shown in the figure below)
Sunshine temperature sensorThis device is mainly installed at the air outlet of the air conditioner to detect the temperature change on the surface of the evaporator to control the working condition of the compressor.
In-car temperature sensorThe temperature sensor in the car is also a sensing element of the automatic air conditioning control system. It is generally installed at the lower end of the dashboard and is a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient. The resistance of the thermistor will gradually decrease as the temperature rises. Its function is to detect whether the temperature in the car reaches the set value to control the work of the air-conditioning system.
EGR exhaust gas circulation monitoring temperature sensorThe EGR monitoring temperature sensor detects the temperature of the recirculated exhaust gas in the EGR system to ensure the normal operation of the system and reduce the content of NOx and S compounds and other harmful gases in the car exhaust.The outside temperature sensor is also called the ambient temperature sensor, which is a sensing element of the automatic air conditioning control system. The ambient temperature sensor outside the car is generally installed on the front bumper mounting bracket and is also a thermistor. Its function is to detect the height of the ambient temperature outside the car, and the control system will determine the control method according to the difference between the temperature outside the car and the temperature inside the car. For example, when the ambient temperature is lower than 5°C, the air-conditioning control system will disconnect the power supply of the compressor clutch, so that the air-conditioning refrigeration system will stop working.
Exhaust temperature sensor (catalyst temperature sensor)Alias: Catalytic temperature sensor, its main function is to quickly send out an alarm signal when the catalytic converter is abnormally heated, so as to protect the catalytic converter and prevent malfunctions caused by high temperature. This sensor is mainly installed behind the catalytic converter transformer.
Transmission oil temperature sensorThe higher the temperature, the lower the resistance. The computer measures the temperature of the hydraulic oil of the automatic transmission according to the change of its resistance, which is used as the basis for the computer to control the gear shift, oil pressure and lock-up clutch. Installed on the valve plate in the oil pan of the automatic transmission, inside it is a semiconductor thermistor with a negative temperature resistivity.
Intake air temperature sensorIt mainly detects the temperature of the air penetrating into the air duct, and inputs the intake air temperature signal to the EUC as a signal for fuel injection and ignition timing correction. Mainly installed on the intake hose of the air cleaner and the air flow sensor.

Coolant temperature sensor

It is installed in the water jacket or coolant pipeline of the engine block and contacts the coolant to detect the coolant temperature of the engine. After receiving the temperature signal, the ECU corrects the injection time and ignition time.

The slender head of the engine coolant temperature sensor is in contact with the coolant, and a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient is installed inside it. As shown in the figure below, when the engine coolant temperature gradually increases, the resistance of the thermistor will gradually decrease, and on the contrary, it will increase. As a result, when the engine coolant temperature changes, the output voltage of the sensor also changes accordingly. After receiving the signal from the coolant temperature sensor, the ECU corrects the fuel injection time and ignition time of the engine.
