Description
Twin disc cutters, namely double disc cutters, are mainly applied to excavate in soft ground. Soft ground TBM cutterhead needs a considerably more open structure than hard rock TBM to allow adhesive muck to pass through. Twin disc cutters save more space than single disc cutters.
