Key points for the use of seals:

1. Select the appropriate seal material and hydraulic oil, as well as the adaptability to the working temperature and the compatibility of the oil.

 

2. The geometric position accuracy (concentricity) of the sliding parts relative to the seal is high, the material is good (such as hard chrome plating) and the surface roughness is fine, which can prolong the service life.

 

(1) For oil seals used in hydraulic pumps and motor journals, it is not only required that the roughness of the sliding surface be within Ra of 0.25m, but also that the surface should be plated with hard chrome, and the oil seal lip should be properly adjusted according to the specific situation during specific use. The radial spring force makes it moderately tight, and a mounting sleeve or a thin gasket should be used to protect the sealing ring during installation to prevent the lip from rolling and twisting, causing the spring to slip out.

 

(2) The inner surface of the hydraulic cylinder is usually processed by rolling, which not only improves the surface roughness, but also makes the surface hardened by cold work, which is beneficial to prolong the service life of the sealing ring. In addition, the pressure used, the length and type of the sliding surface also have a great influence on the service life. Therefore, the "regular inspection" time should be decided according to these conditions.

 

(3) The sealing surface is required to be well lubriC.A.Ted to prevent dirt from invading. The use of fluids that meet the specified cleanliness levels and the correct installation method are also necessary conditions.

 

Precautions:

1. Before designing grooves, please read the descriptions of each series of products by yourself, and clearly distinguish whether the product uses an integral groove or a split groove; during the process of installing the seals, pay attention to avoid sharp edges, and the hole seals must be installed in the integral groove. With the help of installation tools; the designer must consider parameters such as groove dimensional accuracy, surface roughness, extrusion gap, etc. For details, please refer to the product instruction manual, diagram and size table.

 

2. Before installing the seal, it must be ensured that there are no impurities and cracks in the sealing groove, and operating oil should be applied to the sealing groove and the surface of the seal respectively; the seals should be installed gradually in sequence; Avoid twisting and skewing; if it is a split slot, tighten the gland last.
