Overview
Inconel 601 also has high mechanical properties at elevated
temperatures.Alloy 601 Seamless Tubes is increasingly used in the
boilers of waste incinerators.The Joint European Torus and DIII-D
(fusion reactor) tokamaks vacuum vessels are made in Inconel. UNS
N06601 Seamless Tubes is a nickel-chromium alloy used for
applications that require resistance to corrosion and heat.Also
referred as WNR 2.4816 Seamless Tubes, this nickel alloy stands out
due to its resistance to high temperature oxidation, remaining
highly resistant to oxidation through 2200 Deg F.Inconel 601 is a
nickel-chromium alloy with an addition of aluminum for outstanding
resistance to oxidation and other forms of high temperature
corrosion.
Characteristic of ASTM B163 Alloy 601 UNS NO6601 Tube
Tensile Strength: It has excellent tensile strength and can still maintain high strength under high temperature environment. Typically, the tensile strength can reach over 1000 MPa.
Yield Strength: The alloy also has a high yield strength, typically in the range of 600-800 MPa. This means that NO6601 alloy has good durability and resistance to deformation during stress.
Elongation: It has good elongation, which can reach more than 15%. This makes the alloy less prone to fracture when subjected to external forces and able to adapt to a certain degree of deformation and complex shape processing requirements.
Hardness: Has a high hardness, usually in the range of 250-300 HB. This allows the alloy to maintain good wear and scratch resistance at high temperatures.
Thermal Stability: It has good thermal stability and is able to maintain good mechanical properties and structural stability in high temperature environments. Its heat resistance makes the alloy widely used in high temperature working conditions.
