Description

The melting method of AISI 9310 nickel-chromium-molybdenum low-alloy steel is AOD+VAR or VIM+VAR melting method. Alloy additions of nickel, chromium and molybdenum help give this grade very good strength and toughness. AISI 9310 also has surface hardening capabilities and is widely used in the manufacture of heavy gears and shafts commonly used in the aircraft industry.
