Foodstuff Continuous Disc Plate Drying Machine
CPD Series Continuous disc dryer is a high efficiency conducting
and continuous drying equipment. Its unique structure and operating
principle determine that it has advantages of high heat efficiency,
low energy consumption, small occupied area, simple configuration,
easy operation and control as well as good operating environment
and etc. It can be widely used in drying process in the fields of
chemical, pharmaceuticals, agricultural, foodstuff, feed, and other
industries.
There are three major types: normal pressure type, closed type, and vacuum type; and four major models: 1200, 1500, 2200, 2500 and 3000; and three kind of material grades, A (carbon steel), B (use stainless steel for material contacted area), and C (use stainless steel for material contacted area, steam pipes, main shaft and supports, and linings for cylinder body and top cover).The drying area of the dryer is 4 to 180. We have produced hundreds of models with auxiliary devices which are available to meet requirements of all customers.
CPD Continuous Disc Plate Dryer Working Principle
The wet material is fed continuously from a feeder onto the top
plate of the dryer. The rotating transport arms with plows
transport the material in a spiral pattern across the heated
surface of the plate. By this means, the product is repeatedly
turned over and comes frequently into contact with the drying
surface. The material is conveyed towards the outer rim on the
small diameter plates, where it fall over the edge onto the large
plate directly below. On this plate the material is moved inwardly
toward the central opening through which the material falls onto
the next small plate By means of this plate arrangement, the
material is conveyed continuously through the drier. The dried
material falls from the last plate onto the bottom surface of the
drying chamber where it is conveyed by means of plows to the
discharge duct. The moisture is evaporated from the material during
transport through the drier, At the same time, the hot air after
being filtered and heated is blown into the drying chamber. The
temperature of the hot air is similar to the plates temperature and
its main function is to convey the moisture from the material. The
wet gas will be exhausted into the air after being filtered.

CPD Continuous Disc Plate Dryer Features Of Technology
1.Drying plate
(1) Desiging pressure: general is 0.4MPa, Max. can reach 1.6MPa.
(2) Work pressure: general is less than 0.4MPa, and max. can reach
1.6MPa.
(3) Heating medium:steam, hot water, oil. When the drying plates’
temperature is 100°C, hot water can be used ; when 100°C~150°C,it
will be saturated water steam ≤0.4MPa or steam-gas, and when
150°C~320°C,it will be oil; when >32 C it will be heated by
electric, oil or fused salt.
2.Material transmission system
(1) Main shaft revoluton: 1~10r/min, electromagnetism of transducer
timing.
(2) Harrow arm: There are 2 to 8 pieces arm that be fixed on the
main shaft on the every layers.
(3) Harrow's blade: Surrounding the harrow's blade, float together
with the surface of the plate to keep contact. There're various of
types.
(4) Roller: for the products easily agglomerate, or with the
requirements of grinding, the heat transfer and drying process
might be
reinforced by placing roller(s) at the appropriate place(s).
3.Shell
There're three types for option: normal pressure, sealed and vacuum
(1) Normal pressure:Cylinder or eight-sided cylinder, there are
whole and dimidiate structures. The main pipes of inlet and outlet
for heating media can be in the shell, also can be in the outer
shell.
(2) Sealed: Cylindrical shell, could bear the interior pressure of
5kPa, the main ducts of the inlet and outlet of heating media might
be inside of the shell or outside.
(3) Vacuum: Cylindrical shell, could bear the exterior pressure of
0.1MPa. The main ducts of inlet and outlet is inside of the shell.
4.Air heater
Normal for the application of big evaporation capacity to increase drying efficiency.
