Description
When the engine is running, the driving gear on the camshaft will
drive the transmission gear of the oil pump, so that the driving
gear fixed on the driving gear shaft will rotate, and drive the
driven gear to rotate in the opposite direction, and then the oil
will pass through the oil inlet cavity. It is transported out of
the oil cavity along the tooth gap and the pump wall. At this time,
a certain suction effect will be formed at the oil inlet cavity,
and in conjunction with the rotation of the main and driven gears,
the oil pressure will be sent to the surface of each part of the
engine.
Characteristic
1. Small size, light weight, simple structure, and large oil capacity. The structure of the cycloid rotor pump is that the inner and outer rotors are meshed, the number of teeth is small, the structure size is compact, the structure of the sealing cavity is simple, the number of parts used is small, and the cooperation of other isolation elements is not required.
2. Good high-speed characteristics. For the cycloid rotor pump, the oil suction and discharge angle range is large. When rotating at high speed, the centrifugal force is fully utilized to fill the oil in the tooth valley to avoid the unfavorable results caused by the "cavity" phenomenon. Therefore, the rotational speed of the cycloid rotor pump can range from several hundred to nearly ten thousand revolutions. And the general involute gear pump, its rotational speed is mostly within 3000rpm, and the peripheral speed will not exceed 5-6m/s, because if its rotational speed is too high, under the action of centrifugal force, the tooth valley will be insufficiently filled with oil. The phenomenon of "cavitation" is formed, which reduces the efficiency of the pump.
3. Smooth operation and low noise. The number of teeth of the inner and outer rotors of the cycloid rotor pump is not equal, and they differ by one tooth. When they are in relative motion, the mutual wear of the tooth surfaces of the two rotors is small, because the sliding speed of the tooth surfaces is small, and the meshing point continuously moves along the tooth profiles of the inner and outer rotors. In addition, the oil flow and movement are relatively stable, the oil suction and oil discharge time is relatively sufficient, and the noise is much lower than that of the gear pump, which is due to the large envelope angle (close to 145°) of the oil suction cavity and the oil discharge cavity.
