IEC 60598-2-3 Mast-arm Mounted Luminaries Static Wind Force Test Device

 

Product information:

 

This machine meets the standards of IEC60598-2-3:2011 clause 3.6.3.1, figure 1 IEC60598-2-5 clause 5.6.5.

It used to detect the static load test of wind resistance for street lamps outdoors.

The working principle is to use a small sandbag to spread evenly on the road lamp under test, or use a net to cover the lamp, and then test the load on the net. This device is suitable for road lampshade wind-force test, equipped with sandbags, test nets, test weights, installation of test bracket, and etc.

 

Technical parameters:

 

1. Wind-force simulation sandbag:100kg/Bag, built-in steel ball (adjustable with various weights), two bags (small sandbags according to the test, 20 small bags with various specifications);

2. Control method: automatic lifting console operation;

3. Test net :diameter of 1mm;load weight : 5~500 (KG);material: Polyester fiber; Convenient hook

4. Test weights: Steel load set, chrome plated surface

5. Test bracket: SUS304 stainless steel, can bear 300KG load, equipped with a variety of different street lights, tunnel light fixtures and street lamp holders, can be replaced.

 
Equipment use steps:
 
1. Connect the external air source to the air pipe connector on the left side of the access equipment.
 

 

2. Fix the lamp to the mounting rod on the left.

3. Cover the lamp with the net, hang the hook on one end of the wire rope to the net.

4. Place the load on the disc on the right, place the corresponding weight of the load in the bag and hook the load to the hook.

 

 

 

Test according to standard:

 

1. IEC60598-2-3:2011 clause 3.6.3.1 test

 

Calculate the load applied to the lamp according to the formula.

 

 

Set test time 10min.

Press the start button to start the measurement, the disc on the right falls off the load and starts timing, and when the time is up, the disc rises to lift the load.

After the test is completed, there should be no visible damage that compromises safety, the permanent deformation of the attachment should not exceed a slope of 2 cm/m, and there should be no rotation around the attachment.

 

2. IEC60598-2-5 clause 5.6.5 test

 

For floodlights used above ground outdoors, a constant, evenly distributed load was applied to the floodlights for 10 minutes using sandbags, which provided a floodlight area of 2.4KN per square meter.

Set test time 10min.

Press the start button to start the measurement, the disc on the right falls off the load and starts timing, and when the time is up, the disc rises to lift the load.

Place the floodlight on a vertical plane, rotate 180° around the attachment point, and repeat the test.

During the test, there shall be no failure or movement in the vicinity of the connection point, and no permanent deformation of more than 1° after any part of the test.
