The Passport Reader device captures white, IR image and UV image. In a simultaneous action, the passport reader also decodes the machine readable zone (MRZ) and processes eData, including name, data of birth, gender, document number, date of expiry, the holder's image etc, from the chip.
The kiosk passport scanner is a full-page multi-illumination ePassport reader. It decodes the machine readable zone (MRZ) and processes eData, including the holder's image, from the chip. Some features are optional such as RFID chip reading and the UV image. And the UV is for the document authentic check.
