Description:
The crankshaft seal assembly is used to hold the
engine oil to prevent external contaminants
from entering the engine oil system.
Sealing assemblies for dry applications (air and oil interfaces) usually include a main sealing lip
to prevent engine oil leakage, as well as a dust lip and a wear sleeve. In wet applications (oil-to-oil interface),
the dust lip is replaced with an auxiliary lip that can draw external oil out of the engine.

meet the requirements of extremely
demanding applications. They must be able to withstand high speed, high temperature and
high frequency axial movement.
The crankshaft seal assembly includes a wear-resistant sleeve to prevent the crankshaft
from wearing and provide the best contact surface for the lip seal. Wear-resistant sleeves can also
avoid costly repair or replacement of crankshafts, making repairs easier, faster and more economical.
The Cat® sealing system prevents leakage and contamination of more expensive parts.

Application:
The crankshaft seal assembly is used for engine crankshafts
and other high-speed
rotating applications, such as some water pumps.
Note: The entire crankshaft seal assembly should be replaced as a whole and should not be repaired separately.
