40T Per Hour Ultrafiltration Membrane Equipment UF Water Treatment
Plant
Ultrafiltration is performed through a semi-permeable membrane
filter.
Ultrafilters can be made of organic and inorganic materials. While
organic materials are the cheapest solution, their low thermal,
chemical and mechanical strength makes them unsuitable for harsh
environments such as corrosive and high temperature environments.
Inorganic ultrafilters have all these excellent properties and can
withstand the vigorous and frequent chemical cleaning necessary to
maintain excellent hygiene standards in many industries. Therefore,
there are limits to the industrial, water and wastewater treatment
tasks that organic membranes can withstand. Therefore, more and
more industries are turning to inorganic membranes.
Based on more than 20 years of experience in water treatment, a
high-quality inorganic ultrafiltration membrane has been developed
based on silicon carbide, the second hardest material in the world
after diamond. This extremely hard material provides consistent
product quality regardless of water ingress.

What can ultrafiltration be used for?
Ultrafiltration is used in many industries to treat all kinds of
water and wastewater.
Ultrafilters are used in many industrial large-scale
ultrafiltration systems to treat various types of water and
wastewater. Among other things, ultrafiltration systems are used in
dairy, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, drinking
water treatment, water recycling and pool filtration.
UF can also be used as a pretreatment prior to nanofiltration (NF)
and reverse osmosis (RO). The pretreatment filtration process
protects the more sensitive NF or RO membranes to extend their life
and reduce the risk of fouling problems. As pretreatment separates
larger objects, it also reduces the need for chemical cleaning,
thereby reducing operating expenses and operational downtime. The
need for pretreatment depends on the feedwater and the desired
product quality.
