Quick Details Of The 114mm Stick On Insulation Pins

Stick On Insulation Pins are used widely in industries like Heating, Ventilation and

Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems.

They are used in external thermal insulation and internal acoustic liner onto the duct surface.

The pin has a sticker backing to make fixing easier.

They also have a unique easy- peel adhesive backing design so that there isn’t any fumbling

with the release paper.

Specifications Of The Stick On Insulation Pins

 

 

COMPOSITION:

Pin: The pin is made from 12 gauge annealed low carbon steel.

(Available in copper coated, aluminum, or stainless steel.)

Base: 2" x 2" (50x50mm) square plate made from glavanized steel.

Adhesive foam: 1mm thick double sided foam with release paper.

 

TEMPERATURE RANGE:

0ºF to 140ºF

 

LOAD LIMIT:

2lbs per hanger

 

AVAILABLE SIZES:

Lengths from 3/4" up to 10" (19mm-250mm)

 

COMMON Length:

1-5/8": commonly used for 1-1/2" .75# fiberglass duct wrap

2-1/2": used for fiberglass duct wrap over 1-1/2" thick

 

RESTRICTIONS:

1. Do not use on metal buildings or ceilings where temperatures due to sunlight exposure

may exceed 140ºF

2. Do not use on cement, wood, or painted surfaces

3. Must be used on clean dust-free surfaces.

4. Do not exceed spacing of 12" between hangers and 2lb load per hanger.

 

 

Application Of The Stick On Insulation Pins

 

1. Stick On Insulation Pins can only be stuck on clean, dry and smooth surface.
2. Remove any duct, loose paint, oil etc. Cleaning the surface is recommended.
3. Peel off the backing paper. 
4. Place the stick on insulation pins in the required position.

5. Press the base against the cleaning surface.

6. Impale the insulation over the point of the stick on insulation pins.

7. Secure the insulation with the self locking washers 

8. Bend or remove excess pins
