Survey Mini Prism Reflector L Bracket Monitoring Precise Surveying Accessory

Model: ADS104

Data:

Prism Constant: 8.92mm

Prism Diameter: 25.4mm

Range: 2000m

Applications:

The L-Bar Mini Prism is a compact and versatile optical target used with automated total stations (AMTS) to monitor displacements and deformations of structures.

Suitable for a wide range of applications, the L-Bar mini prism can be installed on tunnel walls, building facades, foundation slabs, retaining walls, and bridges decks.

Installation:

Choose a location that provides a clear line of sight to the AMTS.

Determine the best orientation for the L-bar bracket, install the anchors, and mount the bracket.

Attach the prism to the bracket, rotate it to face the AMTS, and tighten the mounting screw.

What is the offset of a Leica prism?

Similarly, if you are working with a 0mm offset prism (or reflective tape), you will need to add 34mm. You get the idea. Remember, with a Leica instrument the Prism Constant Field is actually the correction you need to enter relative to -34mm, NOT the actual prism constant (offset) of your prism.

How to set prism constants on a Leica lift?

SETTING PRISM CONSTANTS ON A LEICA TOTAL STATION First a primer on Prism Constants (also called Prism Offsets), more correctly called Absolute Prism Constants (APC). Refer to Figure 1 to understand that an EDM needs to be “told” what prism you are using to correctly calculate the distance to the Vertical Axis of the prism.

Features:

1. High Performance:

Coated optics for better performance.

2. Durable:

Prism is waterproof and dusproof, suitable for any environment.

3. Low Visual Impact:

The compact prisms are almost unnoticeable from street level.

4. Easy Installation:

The compact bracket can be installed in any orientation and fits nearly any location.

5. Cost Effective:

Economical prism provides low cost per monitored point.

How does a survey prism work?

Survey prisms can be used with another electronic distance measurement (EDM) device to determine the distance of an object from a specific survey point, and they’re often attached to a prism pole so they can focus on a specific position.

Corner cube prisms (also called “ retroreflectors”) are often used for this type of measurement, and they will have some type of offset because the beam being transmitted from the device takes longer to leave the prism (especially from longer distances). This can be corrected by using a feature that accounts for this offset in relation to the plumb line of the surveying prism pole.
