Working Principle Description:

PSA pressure swing adsorption nitrogen generator is an automatic equipment that uses carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent, uses the principle of pressurized adsorption and depressurization desorption to adsorb and release oxygen from the air, so as to separate nitrogen. Carbon molecular sieve is a kind of cylindrical granular adsorbent with micropores on the outside and inside, which is black. The pore size dispersion characteristics of carbon molecular sieve enable it to complete the kinetic separation of O2 and N2. Such pore size dispersion can make different gases disperse into the micropores of molecular sieve at different rates without crowding out any gas in the mixture (air).

 

The separation effect of carbon molecular sieve on O2 and N2 is based on the small difference in the kinetic diameter of the two gases. The kinetic diameter of O2 molecule is small, so there is a faster dispersion rate in the micropores of carbon molecular sieve, and the kinetic diameter of N2 molecule is large, so the dispersion rate is slow. The dispersion of water and CO2 in compressed air is similar to that of oxygen, while the dispersion of argon is slow. After all, the mixture of N2 and AR is enriched from the adsorption tower.

 

PSA nitrogen production uses the selective adsorption characteristics of carbon molecular sieve, and selects the cycle of pressurized adsorption and decompression desorption to replace the compressed air into the adsorption tower (which can also be completed by a single tower) to complete the air separation, so as to continuously produce high-purity product nitrogen.
