CNC Metal Parts

Stainless steel is a recyclable alloy consisting of iron, carbon, and chromium

(ranging from 11% to 18%). The inclusion of chromium enhances the steel's strength,

durability, and resistance to corrosion, particularly at elevated temperatures, preventing

rust formation.

Stainless steel exhibits exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, ease of cleaning,

and sterilization properties, making it highly suitable for applications such as medical equipment.

It can withstand extreme temperatures and is well-suited for welding processes.

Our CNC machining services empower you to fabricate bespoke stainless steel components

tailored to a wide array of applications in industries including energy, medical technology,

agriculture, industrial automation, machinery, robotics, and construction.

Product Details

Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion and rust, making it suitable for situations

where a part may be exposed to the elements for a long period of time. Stainless steel is also

fairly malleable and ductile.

Common Stainless Steel Materials
No.Properties
Stainless steel 304/304LStainless steel 304L (CNC) has excellent mechanical properties and good machinability. Resistant to most environments and corrosive media.
Stainless steel 316/316LStainless steel 316L (CNC) has similar mechanical properties to 304, with higher corrosion and chemical resistance. Ideal for marine applications.
Stainless steel 303Stainless steel 303 (CNC) has excellent toughness, but lower corrosion resistance than 304. Ideal for high volumes, due to its excellent machinability.
Stainless Steel 17-4 PHStainless steel 17-4 (CNC) - SAE grade 630 - is a precipitation hardening alloy with good corrosion resistance. Can be hardened up to 44 HRC.
Stainless steel 416Stainless steel 416 is magnetic and has a high machinability.
Stainless steel 2205 DuplexStainless steel 2205 Duplex (CNC) is the alloy with the highest strength and hardness. Suitable for applications in severe environments up to 300°C.
Stainless steel 420Stainless steel 420 provides high strength and corrosion resistance. It is the hardest of all stainless steels when hardened.
Stainless steel 440CStainless steel 440C has improved toughness and corrosion resistance due to Carbon and Chromium content.
Stainless steel 430Stainless steel 430 is magnetic and corrosion resistant.
Stainless steel 301Stainless steel 301 is corrosion resistant similar to Stainless steel 304.
Stainless steel 15-5Stainless steel 15-5 has a higher toughness than 17-4, better corrosion resistance and transverse properties compared to other similar martensitic grades.

Stainless Steel Finishing and Post-Processing

The finish of stainless steel can vary significantly depending on the surface roughness.

However, it is typically described as shinier compared to unfinished aluminum alloys,

and it tends to have a slightly darker and more silver color.

Stainless steel offers flexibility in achieving various surface finishes, including options such as

media blasting, sanding, hand-polishing, and powder coating.

These processes can be employed to achieve a wide range of surface finish textures and

appearances.

Company Profile

FAQ's

1. What are standard machining tolerances?

The standard machining tolerance is ± 0.005" or 0.13mm, defining the acceptable range for a

dimension. If a CNC machining tool has a tolerance of ± 0.01 mm, it implies a deviation of

0.01 mm in each cut.

When accompanied by a drawing, our CNC machining service can achieve CNC parts with

tolerances as low as ± 0.0002 in. In the absence of a drawing, all CNC parts are produced

following our ISO 2768 medium standard.

Additionally, we have the capability to machine to tighter tolerances, such as ±0.025mm or

±0.001", when an engineering drawing specifies critical features.

2. What size of fillets are added when no specific fillet is specified by the 3D model

or drawing?

In cases where a specific fillet radius is not specified in the 3D model or drawing, fillet radii

suitable for easy machining will be added based on the machinist's judgment.

As a general guideline, internal vertical edge radii may exceed 1/3 of the depth, while internal

horizontal edges can either be left sharp or have a radius in the range of 0.5mm to 1mm.

Specific fillet requirements should be indicated if needed.

3. Dedication to Quality Assurance

Our commitment to customer trust is reflected in our rigorous adherence to proven quality

management principles. This commitment extends to enhancing customer satisfaction and

continuously improving our performance and capabilities.

With decades of experience, we meet stringent regulations and maintain PPAP compliance,

particularly in the automotive, aerospace, and medical device industries.

These industries serve as benchmarks for the quality of all products we manufacture.

4. What industries do you typically work in? Who are your typical customers?

Our clientele encompasses a wide range of industries, including heavy equipment manufacturing,

general commercial businesses, and companies in industrial, transportation, medical, and

consumer sectors, among others.

Operating on a global scale, our customers are located in the United States, Europe, and

various parts of the world. The common thread among our diverse clientele is the shared

need for precision-machined parts that meet specifications, are delivered punctually,

and stay within budget constraints.
