It is compliance with IEEE802.3at and IEEE802.3af down compatible. When it comes to the cost, POE-S424 is surely a perfect choice for multi-channels Ethernet Power transmission, it may say it's an integration of Network Switch and Power Source Equipment for low powered devices (PD) such as Wireless Access Point (AP), Voice over Internet Phone (VoIP), IP Digital Camera and other IP based device. Each PoE port output can be assigned maximum 15.4 watts by its POE PSE internal 400 watts power supply adapter.

This Power Classification is an optional stage of starting running power procedure, it is to save cost by reducing energy consumption. In additional, the POE will cut the power when the PD is overloading, underpowering or other issues due to incorrect installation.
