Cautions

  • Use only the probes provided by the manufacturer. Otherwise, the system may not work and accidents such as fire may occur.

  • Use the probe carefully. If any part of the probe surface is scratched, stop using it immediately. Failure to do so may result in electric shock.

  • Endovascular procedures require a legally sold tube sheath. If a lubricant is used, it must be water-soluble. Do not apply the coupling gel directly to the patient's skin. Dispose of the housing in accordance with local laws and regulations.

  • For intraoperative transvaginal, transrectal, or transesoPhilipilipageal (cardiac) examinations, use a sterile probe cover and coupling gel. In the absence of lubrication due to age or personnel during the examination, a sufficient amount of sterile coupling gel should be applied to the surface of the socket.

  • To avoid contamination, a coupling gel and probe cover should be used before continuing the test.

  • Use legally sold coupling gels in accordance with local regulations. Read and understand all the precautions in the coupling gel instruction manual before use. Latex or natural rubber in medical devices or accessories can cause severe allergic reactions in some people. The FDA advises operators to identify latex-sensitive patients and prepare to promptly treat allergic reactions.

  • When the probe and its accessories become contaminated with hard-to-kill pathogenic bacteria such as cryptosporidia or prions, they must be destroyed by melting or, if necessary, burning, as they cannot be fully disinfected and sterilized.

  • Prolonged immersion of the transducer surface in the coupling gel should be avoided as this may damage the probe.

  • When cleaning, disinfecting, or sterilizing the probe and probe cable, be careful not to spill liquid on the probe or probe connector.

Be especially careful before using the probe

Check the probe before each use. Stop using the probe immediately if you find the following damage.

  • Cracks in the probe handle (user side).
  • Cracks on the surface of the transmitter (applied part).
  • The surface of the transducer (surface of the acoustic window) has scratches.
  • The material of the acoustic window expands.
  • The probe cable is broken or frayed.
  • Cracks or other visible damage to the probe connector.
  • The pins in the probe connector are deformed or broken.
  • The probe cable is damaged or deformed.

Application of the probe to the body surface

1. Put on sterile medical gloves.

2. Connect the probe.

3. Run a scan.

■ Endocavitary Probe Usages

1. Put on sterile medical gloves.

2. Cover the probe with the probe cover (only for Intralight probes).

A. Remove the packaging and open the probe cover.

B. Apply an appropriate amount of coupling gel inside the sheath and on the surface of the probe

C. Hold the tube and flip the cap over the tube.

D. Pull the probe cover tightly over the probe surface to remove wrinkles.

E.Secure the cover to the pipe with tape or a rubber band

3. Position the probe Before scanning, check the orientation markings on the probe.

4. Run a scan.

Cleaning the Probe

The probe should be cleaned before and after each use. Cleaner research is an important step in disinfection and sterilization. Follow the steps below to clean your study.

1.After inspection, remove the coupling gel from the probe surface.

2. Disconnect the examiner from the system and remove the test cap and tissue sample holder from the examiner.

3. Clean the meter with a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with mild soapy water or the recommended detergent (see Appendix D.2 Detergent). If there are dry spots on the surface of the probe or in the cracks, use a brush to remove them. Moisten them with enzyme detergent.

Rinse the examiner's surface with clean tap water to completely remove any detergent residue.

5. Wipe the meter with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
