The primary function of the Masima 1863 LNCS DCI 9-pin Adult Finger clip SpO2 Reusable Sensor is "spot check" or continuous noninvasive monitoring of a patient's arterial hemoglobin functional oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse rate (as measured by the SpO2 sensor). The SpO2 Reusable Sensor is applicable to a wide range of people, as long as it is an adult or a child with a body weight of more than 30kg. However, patients under this weight are not recommended to use the SpO2 Reusable Sensor to avoid unnecessary accidents.

If there is damage to the skin and/or poor circulation or hypoperfusion once the patient monitors the site, the sensor should be moved.
