Hyno Energy. NiMH Battery Pack Replacement For Honda Civic
(2006-2011). 6500mAh 158.4V
The Toyota Prius and Honda Civic Hybrid were some of the first
hybrids to hit the road and many are still running on their
original batteries today. Those battery packs are made up of many
individual Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery cells. NiMH battery
chemistry is not extremely power dense, but it’s fairly stable.
These cells are most likely to lose battery life if they are fully
charged or discharged, so manufacturers came up with safeguards
that force the batteries to only use 60 to 70 percent of their
rated capacity. These safeguards have helped keep many of these
batteries in usable condition for hundreds of thousands of miles.
General Cautions:
- Battery mixing is strictly prohibited neither with different
charged states for the similar batteries nor for a dry cell, other
battery of different sizes, or brands.
- When two or more similar batteries are used together, the state
must be the same.
- Stop using the new battery immediately if it is found to be
alkaline, fever or other abnormalities occurs. Please wipe it with
a soft dry cloth if there is dirt in the battery. Prevent battery
from contact with equipment, leakage or useless.
- Batteries must be stored or used in a specified, dry, heat
dissipating environment. (According to the specification, the
long-term storage temperature of the battery is -20℃~35℃). Storage
or use of batteries should be placed in a special area. No other
articles around, especially flammable or explosive articles.
- No baby or child is allowed to remove the battery from the charger
or equipment. during charging or use.
- Batteries do not use for a long time, need to activate 1 times
every 3 months; activation methods need to communicate with
manufacturers.

Cautions of Battery Pack Transportation and Storage
- Avoid violent vibration and external force impact, don’t cast,
roll, invert, extrude, and stack too high during handling and
transportation of battery pack.
- Protect the battery pack from rain during the transportation, and
the ambient temperature is not over 55℃.
- Store the battery pack in a cool and dry place and the temperature
range is 5-25℃ when you are not using it.
Maintenance regulations (Maintain the whole battery pack, and cool
with a fan during the charge and discharge process)
The SOC of our battery pack is 60%~80% when leaving the factory, in
long-term storage, battery should be stored in a charged state
(usually the SOC is 80%). Have a charge and discharge maintenance
to battery pack when the storage time is over 6 months or battery
module’s voltage is 15V,to prevent the battery performance’s
decline caused by the self-discharge. The maintenance regulations
are as follows:
- Discharge: 2A discharge to 204V (that is to say: single cell 1.0V)
- Interval: 30 minutes
- Charge: 1.3A charge for 5 hours (voltage ≥ 306V, -ΔV ≥ 0.2V and
temperature ≥50℃)
- Interval: 1hours
- Discharge: 2A discharge to 204V (that is to say: single cell 1.0V)
- Interval: 30 minutes
- Charge: 2A charge for 2.4 hours
Installation Cautions of battery pack
Notes: Installing this product should only be attempted by a qualified
technician, the voltage of the battery pack is very high, which has
the shock hazards, so when installing the battery pack, you should
wear insulating gloves and use insulated handle tools.
- Please operate according to assembly manual during the installation
of Prius battery pack.
- Do not mix our battery modules with those of other manufacturers,
or new battery modules in use with semi-used battery modules, and
don’t mix battery modules within a battery pack with those in other
battery pack.
- Don’t twist and bend battery modules and accessories when
assembling battery pack.
- Don’t connect the anode and cathode of battery module in reverse
when assembling battery pack, to prevent short circuits.
- Fasten bolts and nuts with appropriate torque, avoid loose
connection or damaging other accessories with too big torque.
