2. Product Features

√   Elastic bandages are self-adhesive, that is, only sticky to the bandage itself, not to the skin and hair.
√   The elastic bandage has good breathability, which improves the comfort of the patient.
√   The elastic bandage can extend 120% of its own length.
√   The elastic bandage binding force is 20-45cN/cm at 30%.
√   Elastic bandages can be torn by hand without the use of scissors.
√   The elastic bandage can be adjusted in position.
√   Elastic bandages are waterproof and can be washed one or two times.
√   Elastic bandages are transparent to X-rays.

Cohesive Properties: Self-adhesive bandages are made from a stretchable and cohesive material, typically a combination of elastic and non-woven fibers. The cohesive nature of the bandage allows it to stick to itself when wrapped around a body part, providing secure and adjustable compression and support.

Easy Application: Self-adhesive bandages are designed for easy self-application. They have a smooth and non-adhesive outer surface that does not stick to the skin, hair, or clothing, making them comfortable to wear and painless to remove.

Compression and Support: Self-adherent wraps provide compression and support to injured or strained areas. They can be used to wrap sprained joints, provide stability to weak muscles, or secure dressings in place. The elasticity of the bandage allows it to conform to the body contours and provide a customized fit.

Versatility: Self-adhesive bandages are versatile and can be used in various applications. They are commonly used in sports to support joints, prevent injuries, and provide compression during physical activities. They can also be used to secure wound dressings, provide temporary splinting, or protect minor cuts and abrasions.

Breathability: Many self-adhesive bandages are designed to be breathable, allowing air circulation to the skin. This helps in maintaining a dry and comfortable environment, reducing the risk of skin irritation or maceration.

3. Applications

√  Suitable for fixing and maintaining dressing position.
√  Sports Injuries - Prevent accidental sprains, dislocations and subluxations. Treat muscle strains. Protect the friction area.
√  Phlebology - Prevention and treatment of primary varicose veins, phlebitis, venous ulcers, acute or subacute subcutaneous inflammation.         √  Reduces and stabilizes edema caused by venous disease, and lymphedema.
√  Prevention of thromboembolism and thrombophlebitis.
√  Compression dressing after stripping or sclerotherapy.
√  Nursing - fixed dressing.

When applying a self-adhesive bandage, follow these general steps:

Clean and prep the area: Ensure the skin is clean and dry before applying the bandage.

Start at the desired location: Begin wrapping the bandage at the desired starting point, ensuring a slight overlap with each turn.

Apply tension and stretch: Apply gentle tension to the bandage as you wrap to provide the desired level of compression and support. Be cautious not to wrap too tightly, as it may restrict circulation.

Continue wrapping: Continue wrapping the bandage, overlapping each layer by about half of its width. Ensure a snug but comfortable fit.

Secure the end: Once you have reached the desired length, press the end of the bandage against itself to secure it. Self-adhesive bandages will adhere to themselves without the need for additional clips or tape.

It's important to remember that self-adhesive bandages are not intended to be used as a substitute for professional medical care. If you have a severe injury, deep wound, or ongoing pain, it is advisable to seek medical attention for proper evaluation and treatment.
