Tungsten Electrode For Aluminum Alloy Welding TIG Welding

1.  An explanation of the tungsten electrode used in TIG welding aluminum alloy:

What is a tungsten electrode?

Tungsten electrodes can be classified into a variety of types based on the various tungsten materials: the cheapest type is pure tungsten in tungsten, which is typically used for welding aluminum and magnesium alloys.Yttrium tungsten is mainly used in the military and aviation industries due to its narrow arc beam, high compressive strength, high permeability in welding, and high current. Thorium-tungsten electrodes, generally used for negative or positive DC current in carbon electrodes and stainless steel, nickel alloys and titanium electrodes, because they work well even under overloaded amperage loads, which in turn improves weldability. Lanthanum tungsten electrodes are commonly used for welding carbon, stainless steel, nickel alloys and titanium. Cerium tungsten electrodes are usually used in argon arc welding, plasma welding, plasma cutting, plasma spray paint, plasma smelting and gas discharge light sources. Zinc-tungsten electrodes are the most commonly used in aluminum alternating current welding and magnesium alloys, which are the first choice for no pollution in tungsten welding. The composite electrode can add two or more rare earth oxides during welding to complement each other.

3. Diameter and Length of Tungsten Electrode For TIG Welding Aluminum Alloy Welding:

Diameter(mm)Tolerance(mm)

Vernier caliper is a measuring tool for measuring length, inner and outer diameter, and depth. The main scale and the vernier linked to the main scale that slides together make up the vernier caliper.

The main ruler is generally in millimeters, and the vernier has 10, 20 or 50 divisions. Vernier calipers can be broken down into three separate categories, including ten-degree, twenty-degree, and fifty-degree vernier calipers. The vernier is 9mm with 10 divisions, 19mm with 20 divisions, and 49mm with 50 divisions. The main ruler and the vernier of the vernier caliper have two pairs of active measuring claws, namely the inner measuring claw and the outer measuring claw. Ordinarily, the length and outside diameter are measured with the outer measuring claw, and the inner diameter is typically measured with the inner measuring claw.
