Molybdenum crucibles are sintered and forged from the final material. Generally, molybdenum crucibles are made of pure molybdenum, which prevents the molten metal powder from mixing. The density of molybdenum crucible is greater than 9.8g/cm3, and its working temperature is between 1100℃~1700℃. Besides tungsten crucibles in the metal smelting industry, it is another good choice.

 

Molybdenum crucibles are mainly used in metallurgical industry, rare earth industry, monocrystalline silicon, solar energy, artificial crystal and machining industries.

4.  Production craft of Pure Molybdenum Crucible For Metallurgical Industry:
 
1) Using molybdenum powder as raw material;
2) Formed using cold and other types of precise press;
3) Sintering treatment;
4) After sintering, cool down the intermediate frequency sintering furnace for 9–10 hours using circulating water;
5) Pull the molybdenum rod out and heat it in the muffle furnace;
6) Remove the molybdenum rod, forge it 30–40 times with a 1000 kg air hammer, and then reassemble it;
7) The groove, the outer circle and the end face are then made by machining, so that the surface roughness of the molybdenum crucible reaches Ra1.6-Ra3.2μm, and the molybdenum crucible is made.
 
This method has the advantages of being less expensive and requiring less equipment to produce molybdenum crucibles. Prior to secondary high-temperature crystallization to refine the grains and increase the crucible's strength and resilience, it is initially formed into a solid, powdery, cylindrical billet. quite hot.
