Mineral Insulated Electric Flexible Ceramic Pad (FCP) Heater is made of high-quality magnesium oxide insulated metal sheathed heating cable through passages with interlocking sintered alumina ceramic beads. The interlocking bead design imposes rigidity along the heater length while allowing flexibility along the heater width, enabling it to maximum contact with the curved surfaces of pipes and pressure vessels.

 

Preheating for all kinds of industrial equipment and large workpieces is needed before welding while eliminating stress after welding in order to improve the quality of the workpiece and strengthen regional toughness. At present, for large workpieces or field work, traditional, inefficient and energy-consuming high-frequency heaters are used for equipment maintenance. The heating method of flame heating or super heating furnace manufactured at a great cost are widely used. In addition, archaic methods are used for drying and heating metal containers at high temperature, such as (1) steam pipe heating and indirect conduction heating method of water and oil separation sleeve, (but can not meet some high temperature heating requirements because of cumbersome container, big cost of labor and material and not easy to maintain).(2) Destruction of the vessels, the use of inserted electric heating rod heating method (some media are not allowed to contact with the heating body or the contamination generated from electric heating rod damage. It is needed to release the material before maintenance).(3) The winding exterior heating method of electric furnace wire connected to the ordinary porcelain tube makes the porcelain tube and container contact in line with limited contact surface, low thermal efficiency, and fragile ordinary porcelain).

1). Technical characteristics

a) easy to operate and use

The welding joint of the electric heating belt is compact, strong, with high surface heating intensity, high service temperature and suitable for field construction conditions.

A belt can be installed after one installation action, and it can be continuously used in the welding process simply and conveniently.

b) Welding quality is secured by a fast temperature increase.

The pipe welding joint can be heated up in 20 minutes to 80 ℃ or higher, (reference diameter Ф1016 with a wall thickness of 14.6 mm). Normal mechanical interface operation will not be affected by preheating operation.

The welding joint temperature reaches the standard, so that the construction and supervision unit can rest assured about the welding quality.

Heating does not affect pipe welding while welding and weld bead repair operations do not affect heating. That no process crosses, improves work efficiency. (5 more welding beads can be welded averagely in a day)

c) High temperature and corrosion resistance

There is a flexible stainless steel shell on the welding joint electric heating device, which can resist the splash or burning of arc and welding slag during processing.

d)Energy and cost saving

Welding joint heating device is pure resistive load, installed to a field welding generator coordinated with inductive load, which can improve the power factor of the generator, increase output, make full use of the abundant backup power of the field welding generator, so there is no need to increase energy and costs.

Complete set of product possesses high electrical insulation strength to ensure the safety of users with special grounding wire and leakage protection switch.

f) convenient maintenance

Under normal and correct conditions, there is basically no maintenance workload.

When not in use, it is like other mobile appliances, need to be placed in a dry place to avoid accidental impact.

Once the insulation layer is affected by moisture absorption, the device can be electrified for self - drying before normal use again.
