Four High Reverse Cold Rolling Mill Power Saving High Productivity for Stainless Steel

 

Power Saving High Productivity Reversible cold rolling mill is competitive in cold rolling steel plants, for the reasons:

  1. Dual shift gear reducing ratios: bigger torque and tension for thicker sheet lower speed rolling, smaller torque and tension for thin sheet high speed rolling, this way, the drive motors can be largely smaller and power comsumption reduces a lot.
  2. The mill investment  increases in the reducing gearboxes, but the power saving and much smaller transformer largely compensate the cost and benefit for long time.
  3. The mill running is more stable and durable, for the load on mill is always at most suitable point.
  4.  If AC motors can be taken use, the power saving can be 10% less than DC motors.
  5. Our Power Saving High Productivity cold mill has been tested in customer factories, very successful and popular.

Conclusion: 1) new type high efficiency mill has 25% bigger torque in rough rolling and 78.9% bigger tension, the torque and tension is completely enough at increasing speed, and more stable rolling at thin sheet below 0.3mm; 2) the power saving is obvious, transformer can be 800-900KVA smaller.

 

Rolling process:

Hydraulic payoff uncoiler →coil loading car→solid mandrel recoiler→4hi rolling mill(include entry and exit press plates)--solid mandrel recoiler(electric control, AGC system, hydraulic, thin oil system)

 

Configuration

  1. Hydraulic AGC system is controlled by two-stage computer. It not only has the functions of constant roll gap, constant rolling force, thickness pre-control/monitoring, but also has tension AGC.
  2. The main rolling mill and the left and right coiler are driven by a complete set of Siemens electronically controlled direct current motor. (Mixed-mounted structure), SCR power supply
  3. The rolling mill has hydraulic pressure system, hydraulic pumping regulation system, side push regulation system, positive and negative bending roll of intermediate roll, process lubrication system and equipment lubrication system
  4. Left and right coilers adopt large tension solid drum, tension digital control
  5. The production process interlocking and fault alarm of the unit are controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC) to realize the automation of the production process.
  6. The rolling mill has full hydraulic pressure. It has the control functions of full stroke second flow control, deviation adjustment control, automatic preloading control, thickness pre-control AGC, thickness monitoring AGC, tension/speed AGC, acceleration and deceleration AGC compensation control, roll eccentricity compensation, and rolling process database, data display and operation control, product quality tracking function, high-speed rolling data automatic recording, automatic report generation, fault alarm and recording. Recording and other process management functions.
  7. Detection, display and fault alarm system of process parameters and key equipment parameters
  8. Emulsion cooling system and precision filtration system are used for process lubrication.
  9. Safety protection systems such as overload protection, strip breakage protection and emergency parking are installed in rolling mills.
  10. Hard tooth face herringbone gears (grade 5 accuracy) are used for left and right coilers and main machines. SKF, FAG, TIMKEN are used for high-speed shaft bearings and Harbin/Wafangdian/Luoyang Bearing Factory is used for low-speed shaft bearings.
  11. The unit adopts two-stage computer control to realize the production process control of the unit. The unit has rolling schedule calculation, pass distribution, regulation and parameter optimization. Real-time process parameters and key detection, display and alarm

  15. The unit adopts imported laser velocimeter to realize second flow control and improve the rate of finished product, while retaining encoder to measure speed
  16. The unit tension is measured directly by imported tensiometer, closed-loop control and digital display
  17. The main components of high-pressure AGC system, bending roll system and side roll system adopt imported products; the components of low-pressure hydraulic system adopt well-known products produced by domestic imported technology.
  18. The unit thickness is measured by X-ray thickness gauge made in China, the encoder is P+F from Germany, and the proximity switch is made by SICK from Germany.
  19. The work roll is positioned radially by the side roll support, which enhances rigidity and prevents side bending. Axis is positioned by end support door and controlled by cylinder, which is convenient for on-line roll change of finished product pass and meets the requirements of stainless steel rolling.
