Water circulates in the coils of the closed cooling tower. Heat of the fluid is absorbed by the wall of the coil and then it is exhausted out by the fan on the top of the tower. When the temperature inside the coils rises above the set temperature, the spray system will automatically start.
A water film forms on the damp and hot coils wall when the system is in operation. This water film absorbs heat from the coils and turns to vapor. The vapor is then blown away by the air flow while the unevaporated water droplets are collected in a reservoir for recycling.
