Product Details

Basic Introduction:

The Energy-using Product Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC) replaced the original EuP 2005/32/EC Directive in November 2009 and came into effect after EU approval. Compliance with the directive will be achieved through the introduction of so-called implementation benchmarks, which include minimum energy efficiency performance standards and other mechanisms. The implementation guidelines for each product came into effect in stages between 2008 and 2009.

Compliance with this directive should be combined with the requirements of the current CE mark of conformity. The coverage of the ErP directive includes: design, manufacture, distribution, use, recycling, recycling, and heat recovery and disposal. The implemented measures are:

• (EU) 2019/2020 Household Lighting Products

• (EU) 617/2013 Computers and Servers

• (EU) 66/2014 Electric stoves, ovens, range hoods

• (EU) 665 & (EU) No 666 vacuum cleaners

• (EU) 813/2013 Space heaters

• (EC) 1275/2008 standby power consumption

• (EU) 2019/1782 External power supply

• (EC) 107/2009 Simple set-top boxes

• (EU) 801/2013 Network Standby

• (EC) 642/2009 Televisions

• (EU) 1016/2010 Dishwashers

• (EU) 206/2012 Air conditioning

• (EU) 814/2013 Water heaters

The current product range is: public street lighting, power supplies, and battery chargers have been implemented since 2008; office lighting, computers, televisions, household refrigerators, washing machines, motors, and household lighting have been implemented since 2009; Vacuum cleaners, set-top boxes, dryers, etc. are implemented.

On October 1, 2019, the European Union officially released the new Eco-design Regulation (EU) 2019/2020, which will be enforced on September 1, 2021, and abolish Regulation (EC) 244/2009, (EC) 245/2009 and (EU) 1194/2012.

Key elements of the regulatory changes include:

• The number of light source samples tested is updated to 10pcs, and the number of independent controller tests is 3pcs

• Added standby power (Psb) and network standby (Pnet) test requirements

• Added product maintenance substitutability requirements

• A unified product efficiency calculation formula is given

• Added the tolerance requirements for random inspection of each parameter in the market, and clearly pointed out that the tolerances of other test standards cannot be used

• Added PstLM strobe test, absorbing the strobe test requirements in North America

• Added limit requirements for DF displacement factor

• Added the requirements for life durability test, and the life aging test is at least 3600 hours

• The formula for calculating the minimum lumen maintenance rate is given

Basic Introduction:

Most electronic products sold in the European market are required to comply with the European Energy Efficiency Label. LCS provides relevant European energy efficiency testing services in accordance with (EU) 2017/1369, 2000/55/EC, ErP 2009/125/EC (6 STAGES) and other directives and standards, and evaluates energy product grades (A~G) according to the test results. , and issue a complete test report. At present, the products subject to compulsory certification are: fluorescent lamps, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, air-conditioning electric stoves below 12KW, etc.

1. On July 28, 2017, the European Council announced the new Energy Efficiency Labeling Framework Directive (EU) 2017/1369, which came into effect 4 days after the publication date, that is, August 1, 2017. EU repealed.

2. On March 11, 2019, the European Union officially issued a new regulation (EU) 2019/2015 on energy efficiency labeling, which will be enforced from September 1, 2021. At the same time, Regulation (EU) 874/2012 will be immediately repealed. The main changes in the new regulations are as follows:

• Energy efficiency class from A++ to E, updated to A to G;

• Updated calculation method of energy efficiency class;

• The regulations give a sampling inspection tolerance of 0. This tolerance is only applicable to the judgment of sampling inspection, and shall not be used for technical documents and conformity judgment;

• Regulations define the format of labels.

3. On February 26, 2021, the Official Gazette of the European Union published a supplement to the ErP Eco-design Regulation COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2019/2020, which updated the requirements for strobe SVM, considering that it is difficult for products at this stage to meet SVM Therefore, the previous SVM≤0.4 was changed to SVM≤0.9, and transitioned to September 1, 2024. From September 1, 2024, the requirement was changed to SVM≤0.4.
