Certification Introduction:

Accreditation is a third-party certification that formally indicates that a conformity assessment agency has the ability to perform specific conformity assessment work. In layman's terms, accreditation means that an accreditation agency conducts reviews on conformity assessment agencies engaged in certification, testing and inspection activities in accordance with relevant international standards or national standards to confirm that they meet the requirements of relevant standards and further prove that they have the qualifications to engage in certification, testing and inspection. and other activities, and issue accreditation certificates.

CNAS implements accreditation activities based on standards, guidelines and other normative documents issued by international organizations such as ISO/IEC, IAF, ILAC and APAC, as well as relevant laws and regulations of my country and accreditation rules, guidelines and other documents issued by CNAS. The accreditation rules stipulate the policies and procedures for CNAS to implement accreditation activities; the accreditation criteria are the requirements that conformity assessment bodies accredited by CNAS should meet; the accreditation guidelines are explanations or application guidelines for the accreditation criteria. CNAS conducts compliance reviews on the management capabilities and technical capabilities of certification agencies, laboratories, inspection agencies, and validation and verification agencies in accordance with the provisions of accreditation specifications.

The accreditation criteria are the basic basis for accreditation review, which stipulate the basic requirements that conformity assessment agencies such as certification agencies, laboratories, inspection agencies, and certification and verification agencies should meet.
