Requirements
Hand brake:
The load test shall be carried out on the finished vehicle and the
brake system shall be properly adjusted. In the plane of the brake
lever action, at a distance of 25 mm from the end of the brake
lever, a force is applied perpendicular to the sleeve of the cross
tube to the brake lever. This force should meet one of the
following conditions:
1) 300N;
2) Although less than 300N, the brake lever of the wire gate has
been touched by the handle of the horizontal pipe; or it is equal
to the upper surface of the cover of the horizontal pipe.
3) Ten tests must be performed for each brake lever
Foot brake:
The test should be carried out on a finished vehicle. Make sure the
brake system is properly adjusted and place the right ankle crank
in the horizontal position. A vertical force of 600 N is applied to
the center of the right ankle axis for 15 s. The test was done ten
times.
Hand brake performance test:
The hand brake performance test shall be carried out on the
finished vehicle to remove the saddle and the saddle tube, but
other components shall be fully assembled and the brakes adjusted
correctly. Fix the child's bicycle and install the braking force
measuring device on the wheel to be tested. In the action plane of
the tested brake, 25mm from the end of the brake lever is
perpendicular to the direction of the horizontal tube sleeve.
force. Through the force measuring device, a stable pulling force
is applied to the wheel in the tangential direction of the
circumference of the tire and the direction in which the wheel is
traveling. After pulling the wheel for one and a half years, when
the tire surface of the wheel is at a stable linear speed of 0.5m/s
to 2 m/s, pull one more turn and record the average braking force.
For each force applied to the brake lever, three readings are taken
and the average is taken. Repeat the test, at least five different
forces are applied to the brake pads.
Foot brake performance test:
The performance test of the foot brake should be carried out on the
finished vehicle, and the brake should be adjusted correctly. A
child's bicycle is fixed and a force-measuring device is attached
to the rear wheel. Apply a force of 20N to 100N on the ankle that
is perpendicular to the crank and applied in the braking direction.
Through the force measuring device, a stable pulling force is
applied to the wheel in the tangential direction of the
circumference of the tire and the direction in which the wheel is
traveling. After pulling the wheel for one and a half years, when
the tire surface of the wheel is at a stable linear speed of 0.5m/s
to 2 m/s, pull one more turn and record the average braking force.
For each force applied to the ankle, take three readings and take
the average. Repeat the test, at least five different forces are
applied to the ankle
