Hpht Lab Grown Diamonds Description

A very small natural diamond is placed in the center as a seed at 2300℃ at 15 to 18 atmospheres of high temperature and pressure. Around the seed diamond is a hot metal liquid, and on top of the metal solution is graphite. In this environment, the carbon atoms in the graphite will line up from the metal atoms to the diamond and form a new diamond.

High temperature and high pressure (HPHT) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) are the two most commonly used growth methods in synthetic diamonds industrial. High temperature and high pressure exert intense heat (about 1500 degrees Celsius, or 2700 degrees Fahrenheit) and pressure (1.5 million pounds per square inch) on the diamond seed and the carbon atoms surrounding it. Chemical vapor deposition, on the other hand, uses less heat and pressure, but introduces a mixture of chemical gases, which decomposes and hardens into crystalline carbon atoms.

UPHT(Ultrahigh Pressure High Temperature): Temperature and pressure are still the two key factors in crystal manufacturing. The idea is to create diamonds in ceramic containers rather than underground. Water pressure provides high pressure, while electricity creates high temperatures, and the carbon forms crystals around a 1mm diameter seed crystal made from natural diamonds.
