All diesel fuel injection equipment uses diesel as a lubricant to
some extent. Excessive friction causes wear and tear to shorten the
life of engine components such as diesel fuel injection pumps and
fuel injectors. Diesel lubrication is one of the reasons. The
experimental results of HFRR Lubricity Evaluator have a good
correlation with the lubrication problems of diesel and related
equipment, and can properly predict the lubricating performance of
diesel.
