Introduction

This test method covers a laboratory screening procedure for evaluating the effectiveness of engine coolants in combating corrosion of aluminum casting alloys under heat-transfer conditions that may be present in aluminum cylinder head engines.

 

 

Characteristic

1. The Cast Aluminum Alloys Corrosion Tester consists of a support and one or two thermal corrosion cell, with a working pressure of 40 psi and a working temperature up to 160℃.Electronic timer controls testing time, and electronic temperature controller controls temperature;

2. The instrument casing is made of ceramic coated refined steel surface, which is durable;

3. There is a protective cover outside the corrosion cell;

4. The thermal corrosion cell is made of heat-resistant glass,the cover and bottom are made of stainless steel material;

5. The stainless steel heat conducting rod is controlled by a 950W heater which is regulated by a Solid-state relay;

6. The components installed on the top of the corrosion cell, such as the vent valve, pressure reducing valve, and pressure gauge, are all made of stainless steel material;

7. The injection port is covered with a sealing cap, and four stainless steel columns are connected to the upper cover and base;

8. The temperature controller of the instrument is an intelligent regulator that integrates temperature control and display, and is equipped with a microprocessor for PID adjustment. The sensor is a K-type thermocouple;

9.For dual position instruments, all components have two sets;

10. The Cast Aluminum Alloys Corrosion Tester has over temperature safety protection function;

11. Electronic timer can preset testing time. Upon reaching the time, the instrument will automatically stop heating, and the two corrosion pools can be tested separately without interfering with each other;
