1.Application
The industrial gas nitriding furnace is mainly used for ion
nitriding, ion nitrocarburizing (soft nitriding) plasma chemical
heat treatment process of mechanical parts to modify the surface of
mechanical parts and obtain the required mechanical and physical
and chemical properties.
The complete set of industrial heat treatment furnace is composed
of ion pulse power supply, vacuum furnace body, vacuum acquisition
system, temperature measurement and control system, gas supply
system, etc.

3.Pulse Ion Power Supply
3.1 pulse ion power supply
Pulse ion power supply is a chopper composed of IGBT
components and control circuit, which is added on the basis of DC
ion power supply. Through chopping, the pulse current with
adjustable duty cycle can be obtained. Compared with DC power
supply, pulse power supply has the advantages of fast arc
extinguishing and energy saving (about 20% power saving). It is an
updated product of DC power supply. This power supply can be widely
used in ion nitriding, ion carburizing, ion metallizing and other
fields.
The pulse ion power supply for gas nitriding furnace is equipped
with protection against anode and cathode short circuit,
overcurrent and overvoltage, phase failure and misoperation, which
improves the self-protection function of the power supply against
external factors.
The pulse ion power supply produced by our company is divided into
instrument control type and computer control type.
3.2 instrument controlled pulse ion power supply
Users can set multi-stage temperature rise curve and holding
stage in the temperature controller in advance according to the
process requirements, and set multi-stage pressure rise curve and
pressure maintenance platform in the pressure controller. Through
fuzzy adaptive PID regulation and control, it can ensure that the
temperature and pressure are completely carried out in the vacuum
nitriding furnace according to the set process, and complete the
automatic control of the whole process. In this way, manpower is
saved, the influence of manual operation on process quality is
avoided, and the stability and reproducibility of process quality
are greatly improved.
The following figure shows the temperature curve and pressure curve
of a process, which can be set in the temperature controller and
pressure controller.
3.3 computer controlled pulsed ion power supply
Computer controlled pulsed ion power supply has been widely
used for plasma ion nitriding furnace.
Its host adopts Mitsubishi programmable controller and general
commercial computer (or industrial computer), and MCGS Chinese
industrial control configuration software. It has 10 sections of
temperature rise and insulation PID control, with instrument
temperature control accuracy of ± 1 ℃, 10 sections of pressure rise
and pressure holding control, and pressure control accuracy of ±
1pA.
The pleasing interface enables you to work in a relaxed
environment. The clear window interface and prompts make the
operation simple and easy. The convenient and flexible programming
allows you to adjust the process parameter settings in time
according to your needs during the processing. Historical process
parameters can be stored for future inspection and call.
The actual temperature and gas nitriding furnace pressure
data of the whole process are stored in the computer. After being
processed by the graphics software, they are displayed on the
computer screen in the form of color graphics curves, and can be
printed and saved, which is of great help to analyze and improve
the process.

This screen can query the curve of historical records,
including target curve and actual curve.
Note: the red solid line on this screen is the recorded actual
temperature curve, and the blue solid line is the recorded actual
pressure curve.
The computer-controlled pulse ion nitriding equipment greatly
improves the gas nitriding process quality and brings great
convenience to users.
