Aluminum Melting and Holding Furnace, Die Casting Process of Aluminum

 

 

1.General Introduction

The aluminum alloy melting and holding furnace has a compact

structure for both melting and holding aluminum liquid. The melting

chamber is formed by once-forming castable material, which has a

high strength and a long service life. The aluminum die casting furnace

is equipped with famous brand burner, which has functions of automatic

ignition and temperature control. The industrial metal melting furnace

also has an over-temperature alarm device.

a) the content of the scale in the raw material is less than 5%, especially there is no

easily oxidized scales.

b) the melting material ratio: 50% recycled material, 50% aluminum ingot;

c) The furnace works in a continuous manner. The melting temperature is set at 720℃.

d) The fuel consumption is calculated based on 3 hours of consumption in a continuous

working manner.

e) natural gas heat value: 8600Kcal/m3;

f) The productivity is calculated based on the precondition that the furnace is charged

with 750kg/hour raw material, and aluminum liquid is discharged with a rate of 750kg/hour.

g) Melting loss rate of aluminum liquid is less than 1.5%.

 

3. Raw Material for Melting

a) aluminum ingot (average weight is below 8kg);

filling rate of melting chamber: 50% (the packing strap must be untied and the

ingot must be dispersed into the furnace);

b) recycled material (the size must be smaller than the charging cart)

filling rate of melting chamber : 50%;

 

 

4.Furnace Structure

4.1 The furnace shell is fabricated from steel plates and sectional steel. It has enough

strength and has preserved the space for expansion.

4.2 Aluminum outlet (pneumatic cylinder plug type)

The aluminum liquid is let out through a discharge chute to the follow up equipment.

There is a manual change-over valve, and the liquid outlet is opened or closed through

control of the pneumatic cylinder. (The liquid plug is consumptive parts.)

4.3 Slag gate and its spot inspection and cleaning gate

The door frame around the door body of each furnace door is made of cast iron,

the door surface is made of ordinary steel plate, and the refractory material inside

the door is made of insulating board and high temperature castable.

4.4 Charging hole cover

The frame of the feeding cover is made of ordinary steel plate, and the inside of

the cover is built with heat preservation board + high temperature castable. The

opening and closing of the top cover are driven by the cylinder.

Notes: In order to prevent the generation of oxide in the aluminum smelting furnace

and extend the service life of refractory, in addition to daily slag cleaning, please shut

down the aluminum melting and holding furnace every 6 months to clean the oxide in the furnace.

4.6 hydraulic tilting system

The furnace body is designed with tilting function. It is mainly comprised of the hydraulic cylinder,

control valves, and pipeline.
