Introduction

TA540-PSE-GE copper to fiber media converter provides IEEE 802.3af/at Power Sourcing Ethernet (PSE) functionality on the twisted pair port
supplying both data and electric current to devices such as WiFi access points, VoIP phones and IP security cameras
Deploying PoE-PSE Media Converters is an ideal solution when PoE-powered network devices need to be installed further than the 100 m
distance allowed by twisted pair cabling by using single-mode fiber optic cabling, network managers can install Powered Devices (PD) anywhere around the LAN or enterprise campus.
The TA540-PSE-GE series performs media conversion as well as providing electric current to the end-device at the remote site.
