According to the basic principles of helium leak detection, helium as a tracer gas, the workpiece will be filled with helium, and then through a helium leak detector leak can quickly and accurately determine the accuracy of the workpiece’s leakage.

Leak Detection Description:
Operator places the workpiece on the jig on the test bench, seals the couplers of the workpiece with the jig manually;
 
After operator presses down “Start” button, high-pressure nitrogen is injected into the workpiece automatically until the pressure in the workpiece reaches the preset value;
 
System will stop nitrogen filling and automatically judge whether the workpiece has gross leakage according to the pressure drop value in the workpiece:
If the pressure drop value in the workpiece exceeds the preset range within a defined period, that indicates the workpiece has gross leakage. In that case, the gross leak detection process is stopped; and the gross leakage and “NG” instructions are shown on the operation interface; operator should click “Confirm” on the operation board to acknowledge the test results; the high-pressure nitrogen in the workpiece is automatically discharged until to a pressure of 1atm; workpiece is unloaded manually;
If the pressure drop value in the workpiece does not exceed the preset range within a defined period, that indicates the gross leak detection of the workpiece test is passed, next process is continued.
 
Workpiece is evacuated to the preset vacuum degree;
 
Preset high pressure helium is filled into workpiece;
 
Operator holds the sniffer to detect the helium around the workpiece;
 
Determine the fine leakage of workpiece automatically:

System will sum all the leakage rate of all the leakage points automatically, if the total helium weight detected exceeds the preset range, that indicates the workpiece has a fine leak. In that case, the fine leak detection process is stopped; and the fine leakage and “NG” instructions are shown on the operation interface; operator should click “Confirm” on the operation board to acknowledge the test results; next process is continued.

If the total helium weight detected does not exceed the preset range, that indicates the workpiece is qualified, and the OK signal is given on the operation interface; next process is continued.

 
Helium in workpiece will be recovered until the vacuum degree inside of workpiece reaches to preset value;
 
Air is charged to workpiece until to a pressure of 1atm;
 

Workpiece is unloaded by operator manually
