PPGI/PPGL (Prepainted Galvanized Steel/Prepainted Galvalume Steel) is coated with an organic layer that provides a higher level of corrosion resistance and a longer lifespan than galvanized steel sheet.
The base metal for PPGI/PPGL products can consist of cold-rolled steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, and hot-dipped galvalume steel. The coating materials that can be used are polyester, silicon-modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride, high-durability polyester, and more.
Galvalume steel sheet has strong corrosion resistance, which is 3 times that of galvanized steel sheet. And its density is lower than that of zinc. When it has the same weight and the same thickness of the plating layer. It has 3% or larger area than galvanized steel sheet.
